Streamline Land Use Board Review
Brief Description of Action:
Have City Council ask for staff recommendations in order to make review by the Planning Board, ZBA, HDC, and the Conservation Commission(advisory) a predictable, time-bound, object and transparent approval process.

Decrease overhead and risk for developers to put forth projects containing residential units
What are the goals for this action? If this action is successful, what will be the outcome?
We will see more “middle market” housing (residential units) built in Portsmouth.

Community education on goal and methodology
Identify areas that are unclear, subjective, or otherwise problematic
Have City Council approve zoning changes/ have NH legislature enact enabling legislation
